A Mexican locksmith. Two carjackers. A rookie cop.

STEP 1: THE TITLE: CRASH

The introductory monologue pretty much summarizes most of what happens in this movie. People in L:A: move back and forth in their cars, without any kind of human contact. They need to collide in order to make that necessary human contact everybody needs...

WHAT DOES THE TITLE CRASH MEAN?
I think the film is called "Crash" because it focuses on cultural shocks. For this reason, the film begins with a car crash, development constantly shows friction or conflicts between races, religions and social classes, and ends in the same way it begins.

STEP 2: THE OPENING MONOLOGUE

Read the opening monologue.

Graham has just crashed.
The car is now stopped.
This is what he says:
“It's the sense of touch. Any real city, you walk, you know?, you brush
past people.
People bump into you.
In L.A., nobody touches you.  We're always behind this metal and glass.
I think we miss that touch so much that we crash into each other just so
that we can feel something.”

Discuss the meaning of his words.

STEP 3: WRITING A SUMMARY
Write down the characters' names and the different stories in the film.

The veteran police takes inappropriate fondling during this to the woman in the eyes of the husbandHours later, the wife has a serious accident car and the police previously had treated with contempt, now save dying burned. The youngest police collected during his return home a black guy and during their conversation they had a misunderstanding, and he kills him.
